Just saw an ad for King Arthur coming soon to digital. Did I miss something here? When did it release in a theater?
The week after Guardians 2.
That movie came and went with all the muster of a mouse fart in the wind.
If you already know you are going to see this, probably not worth watching this trailer, but if you are on the fence, or were a hater like me early on (which I think I was alone on that), I highly recommend watching this, as it has easily changed my mind on the potential of this movie.
1/4 of the way through Skull Island (yeah, I’ll get back to it soon, loosen up) and holy fruggin balls, I hope this is part of the Godzilla universe because this makes up for all of the embarrassment the Mummy apparently did to monster movies. The style is oozing out of this mofo.
And Brie Larson is a godsend.
Finished The Get Down last night. What a shame. The first season was soooooo good. But you could tell this was canceled while in production as its very rushed at the end. Sucks because the actual performances by the Get Down Brothers were so much fun. Shaolin Fantastic will be missed.
Started Friends From College. This show is good. Damn good.
Yup, part of the Godzilla universe. Which is why Kong is so big and why they imply he’s still young and will grow even bigger.
Is that going to be any good? I know they are nothing alike, but Sausage Party bombed, right?
I watched the 4 eps of Castlevania over the weekend. I enjoyed it, although it sounds like it has been very polarizing. Anybody else give it a shot, or planning to?
Set in 1979, the series goes inside the FBI’s serial crime unit. Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany star as agents who interview imprisoned serial killers to gain insight into the criminal psyche as they attempt to solve ongoing cases.
The series marks David Fincher’s return to the Netflix binge game after helping launch the service as an original programming powerhouse with House of Cards. He is directing a few episodes and serves as an executive producer (Charlize Theron is also credited as an executive producer). The series, which seems to have already been renewed for a second season, is inspired by the book Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit by Special Agent John Douglas (the man on whom the character Jack Crawford in The Silence of the Lambs was based).
That looks good.
Hell yes. Just finished my second run of S1 and S2 the other night. This show is great.
Watched Kong - I enjoyed it. Noticed the connection to the Godzilla universe in the beginning when talking about the MUTOs.
Watched Colossal - it was okay, leaning towards I liked it. The trailers did NOT give everything away like I thought they had. It barely gives away the first 30 minutes of the film. This movie is also NOT a comedy, which is what I thought they were marketing.
Been watching The Leftovers with the wife - love that shit. Two more episodes before we’re done with the series.
I also just watched Kong. Like Rewfus, I really liked it’s style. It’s definitely worth a watch.
The Leftovers is also really good.
All of these companies making their own streaming services is what is going to make cable packages attractive again.
