Companies are reporting their quarter earnings this week. Here’s some Playstation goodness.

It’s no Wii, but doing better than PS2 is impressive.

Meanwhile, over at MS Headquarters…

On the gaming side, Microsoft notes that Xbox Live monthly active users grew 30 percent year-over-year to 48 million. However, Xbox hardware revenue declined because of lower volumes of Xbox 360 sales. That’s to be expected with sales shifting over to the Xbox One, but Microsoft isn’t revealing exactly how many next-gen consoles it sold in the recent quarter.

4 Call of Duty: Black Ops III
5 Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
6 inFAMOUS Second Son
7 Dragon Age: Inquisition
8 The Witness
9 Far Cry 4
10 TOM CLANCY’S RAINBOW SIX SIEGE

14 Need for Speed Rivals
15 Outlast

I’m a bit sad that The Witness is only #8. It should be MUCH higher, in my opinion. The game is phenomenal.

#25

I think it still has exceeded sale expectations though, so as long as he keeps making games, I’m happy.

#26

Top 10 is not bad, considering the games on that list and how many of them were on sale.

May 2016 NPD

Software:
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (PS4) - It’s either the best or second best selling Uncharted game. I think the text is implying second best after Uncharted 3, but I can’t tell 100%. Either way it’s a relatively large number.
Doom (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
Overwatch (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
Battleborn (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
Grand Theft Auto V (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3, PC)
Minecraft (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)
NBA 2K16 (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)
Call of Duty: Black Ops III (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3, PC)
MLB 16: The Show (PS4, PS3)
Dark Souls III (PS4, Xbox One)

Uncharted 4: 879K (With bundle) [Bundle is less than 70K]
DOOM: 521K
OverWatch: 361K (on console, and other 50k-100k on PC)
Battleborn: over 125K, under 175K

Hardware:
PS4 Hardware:
May 2016 NPD: 207,300 (+35.8% from last May)

XBO Hardware:
May 2016 NPD: 107,100 (-23.3% from last May)

WIU Hardware:
May 2016 NPD: 25,300 (-40.7% from last May)

360 Hardware:
May 2016 NPD: 11,900 (-53.5% from last May)

PS3 Hardware:
May 2016 NPD: 10,700 (-44.5% from last May)

tl;dr - Impressive numbers for UC4/Doom/OW and the PS4 in a usually dead month.
