He left a note:

Dear Fat***,

I’ve seen your wishlist of games for 2015. Before I have a stroke, I feel I need a vacation. iPod and I will return when you’ve come to your senses.

Sincerely,
Wallet

My wishlist isn’t that bad, is it?

2015
June
Batman Arkham Knight

August
Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture

September
Destiny: The Fallen King
Tearaway Unfolded

November
Star Wars Battlefront

Unknown
Toy Soldiers: War Chest
No Man’s Sky
The Witness
Rime
The Tomorrow Children
Journey

Okay, it might be a tad ridiculous.

What is everyone else buying this year?

I’ll consider myself lucky if I end up playing a quarter of this list, but I’m interested in:

Anything Destiny - flaws aside, I’ve put an enormous amount of time into this game I need more reasons to keep that trend going.

Star Wars Battlefront - I put a decent chunk of time into BF3 and enjoyed it. Adding Star Wars to the formula is only a plus.

Tomb Raider - I enjoyed the last one, if this is more of the same, I’m game.

No Man’s Sky - So much Hype. It has to at least be half way decent right?

Rive - See the Indie Pile topic.

Blops 3 - Blops and Blops2 were excellent. I’ve grown tired of CoD over the last 2 games, but I’m willing to give this game a shot. I’ve said it before, but this could very well be my last CoD game. For real. Probably.

Gears of War- I doubt we’ll see anything this year, but I’m interested in seeing what comes out of the remake.

Uncharted 4- I should really finish Uncharted 3.

Game4- It’s The Behemoth and a hex strat game. 'nuff said.

The only games that I’m fur sure buying this year are No Man’s Sky and Persona 5 (if it gets released this year.)

I’m keeping my wallet open for XCOM 2, Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition, and a few others.

#4

I thought I’d resurrect this post, since I just watched this video:

I forgot about this topic! Here is my list.

September
Destiny: The Taken King - I wish I could say no to a $40 expansion, but the truth is I can’t.
Super Mario Maker

October
Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition

November
Star Wars Battlefront
Fallout 4

On the fence/depends on reviews
Just Cause 3
Call of Duty: Black Ops III
Transformers: Devastation
The Talos Principle

Not a lot has changed on my list.

Destiny - TTK has been pre-ordered.

Blops 3 - After the beta, I’m on board.

Gears of Wars- Skipping the remake and waiting for the next game.

The rest remains the same.

This would be handy functionality to eventually build in to the site. I’ll look in to that at some point, as I would like to keep track of games like this.

#8

Ahahahahaha, No Man’s Sky in 2015?

But seriously, Looks like the only ones I’ll be playing this year are The Witcher 3, MGS5 and Fallout 4.

#9

2016 looks much, MUCH worse (and by ‘worse’ I mean for my poor, poor wallet):

#10

Other than Uncharted 4, and to a lesser extent No Man’s Sky and Ace Combat 7, I’m not really that excited for much this year.

I’m getting old I think.

#11

I think my wallet will be fine this year.

Fur Shure

  • Dark Souls 3
  • Persona 5
  • World of Warcraft: Legion

Maybeh

  • The Last Guardian
  • No Man’s Sky

Updated.

#13

This might sound naive, but holy crap do Japanese publishers like to fill their box art with as much as humanly possible?!?!

#14

I could ask the same type of question about Western publishers and “Guns to the Sky”

#15

Absolutely, the marketing research that goes behind the scenes when it comes to box art is atrocious, it’s just really interesting to see the differences in cultures.

#16

#17

That went off the rails quickly.

#18

Hey, we are talking about games, that’s a step in the right direction, right?

#19

I’m talking about that video. You can stop watching at about the 2:30 mark.

#20

Oh, yes, that is true.
