I thought I’d combine these 3 shows into one post because they essentially share characters/actors and the universe.

Here is the first look at DC’s Legends of Tomorrow:

Here you’ll see Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, Victor Garber as Martin Stein, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Ciara Renée as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, and Caity Lotz as somehow-returned-from-the-dead Sara Lance. Now in White Canary form.

The official synopsis for Legends of Tomorrow is as follows: “Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter (Darvill) is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat—one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?”

Should’ve known they’d also release a trailer:

I’m sold.

Take this for what it is coming from someone who knows nothing of the canon, but without sounding too reductive, is The Atom essentially an Iron Man/Ant Man clone? I know countless comparisons have been made with DC/Marvel characters, but did they really have to make him the rich, clumsy type? It just seems way too similar to ignore. Not to mention the all-to-easy White Canary/Black Widow comparisons.

Yes. And yes.

Basically, they just copy each other. Flash/Quicksilver, Deathstroke/Punisher, Aquaman/Namor, Green Arrow/Hawkeye, Catwoman/Black Cat, Darkseid/Thanos…

The photo comes as part of a cover story on executive producer Greg Berlanti, who counts the CW’s Arrow and The Flash and CBS’ Supergirl among his series, along with the upcoming DC-based Legends of Tomorrow for CW. When it came to the question of whether CBS will let Supergirl do crossovers with the DC Comics series on CW – something Berlanti has previously expressed interest in – he told Variety that while he’d love to see Supergirl join forces with those DC superheroes, it’s not currently in the cards. "The network has said publicly at this point they’re going to keep her to themselves,” he said. “I always approach the shows as a fan first, so I would love to see [a crossover].

Is there any possibility though that things could change? Says Berlanti, "I think in success, all things are possible. But there’s a lot that would have to happen before everybody might say yes to that.”

They look a little too similar to Owlman if you ask me, no?

Well, at the very least, it looks like they have the budget to pull this off.

I did watch the first episode of The Flash the other day and was pleasantly surprised. Probably not surprised enough to keep watching, but that’s not saying much with how much TV I do watch.

Okay, that looks cool. I’m just SUPER worried about any show that deals in time travel. The only one that has done it successfully has been Continuum, in my opinion.

I’m down with it.

I honestly forgot this was a thing.

I’m still not sure it is a thing.

This show is kind of fun. Very comic booky, but not in too campy of a way. Like with almost all shows like this, there were some nitpicky and stupid things but I’ll keep watching.

I liked it. I’m not sure how long this show can run with the premise of stopping only one villain, but we’ll see.

It won’t be just that one villain. That plot is the overall storyarc for the series but they’re going to fight other bad guys (and each other) and deal with things not having to do with Savage from episode to episode. Its too obvious not to do that.

This version of Vandal Savage is the fucking worst. I can’t wait til they “defeat” him.

Yeah. Not a fan of him either. I hope they have a completely new direction for Season 2.

The Arrow/Flash series has much better villains than Vandal Savage. I get it, he’s immortal, he makes the time travel make sense, but jesus, the actor is such a waste.

I read somewhere that they would expand on he villains in this…or maybe it was that the series can;t survive with Savage as the main villain? Either way, change needs to happen with regards to him.
